When trying to view a report in Dietplan, various error messages are displayed and the program shuts down
Version 9 of Adobe Reader was released in July 2008 and causes these problems when Dietplan tries to use it to view its reports. You can click here to download the previous Version 8 of Adobe Reader, which does not have these problems or you can switch to using Dietplan’s internal report viewer instead. From the Edit menu, select Preferences and Report viewer. Then click the Built-in viewer button and OK
After that, if you prefer to use Adobe Reader 9 to view and/or print your reports, use the Save button on the report viewer page and open the saved pdf file with Adobe Reader outside Dietplan.
Update 6.30d5 can be downloaded from the Support page and, when installed, will detect the presence of Adobe Reader 9 and automatically switch to the internal viewer.

Update c4 for Dietplan6.20 contained a version of an internal software library that was not compatible with the existing installation of Dietplan6.20
The problem has been fixed and update c4 has been replaced by update c5 on the Support page - just download this update for release 6.20 and follow the instructions there.

After upgrading to Dietplan6.20, an error occurs when trying to create a report
This error occurs with the new release of Dietplan6.20 when you try to create a report with a user-saved report definition.
The error message ends with the phrase: KeyError: 'dtable'
The problem has been fixed and you can download an update from the Support page - just download the update for release 6.20 and follow the instructions there.

When Dietplan6 starts, it is minimised on the Windows taskbar and will not open
This occurs if Dietplan has previously been closed by shutting down Windows while Dietplan was minimised. To fix it, ensure that Dietplan is not running - by logging out of Windows if necessary - then open the folder
C:\Program files\Forestfield\Dietplan6\database
using Windows Explorer and double click on sqlite.bat. In the command window that opens, after the sqlite> prompt, please type

There must be single quotes around $owner and the line must end with a semi-colon. Then press the ENTER key. If you get another sqlite> prompt without any errors, close the command window and try running Dietplan6 again. The problem has been fixed in the update to Dietplan6 (version 6.11k or later) that can be downloaded from the Support page.

When upgrading from Dietplan5, Dietplan6 fails to find the existing Dietplan5 licence
This problem can sometimes occur with version 6.10 of Dietplan6 when installing under Windows 9x. It is fixed from version 6.11 onwards. To resolve the problem, download and run the latest update for Dietplan6 from the Support page to update your current installation.
